SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS

As a school we strive to give our children the best education we can and over the years we have taken part in many initiatives to help us to achieve this.

PARTNERSHIP PROMOTION AWARD

South Ferriby School is also a Partnership Development School which means that we have close links with the Training and Development Agency for Schools, who are a government body that work with schools to develop the workforce and ensure that schools can recruit good-quality, well-trained people. Our school is a lead school for the area and Mrs Gathercole is involved in the training of mentors to work with graduate teachers in local schools.

South Ferriby Primary School also works closely with Hull University and the North Lincolnshire Graduate Teacher Programme and we have had many students working in school as part of their teacher training.

NATIONAL HEALTHY SCHOOL AWARD

We have also this year attained National Healthy School status. We had to demonstrate how we are contributing to the five national outcomes for children stipulated by "Every Child Matters" and the Children Act 2004. These are being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and economic well being. To attain this status rigorous evidence had to be put in place.

SAT's RESULTS -2006

South Ferriby Primary School was in the top 200 schools in England when the league tables were published in December 2006. This was a great achievement for everyone connected with South Ferriby Primary School.
